    School groups can purchase tickets in advance for the special rate of $10 per person.
    Please note we will be closed to traditional school groups on Sensory Friendly Day. Families with special needs can purchase in advance for the discounted rate of $12 per person.
    Admission to the exhibits will be available at the door for $14.95 each. 1:1 aides are always free.
    Tickets for the Creative Creatures Stage show are $5 per person.

  • Enrichment Programs

  • Up to 25 participants per session.
    We require tables and chairs, access to water and electricity, minimum of 10 minutes between sessions, and 15 to 30 minutes for set up and cleanup.
  • Classroom Programs

  • Up to 25 participants per session.
    We require tables and chairs, access to water and electricity, minimum of 10 minutes between sessions, and 15 to 30 minutes for set up and cleanup.
  • Activity Stations

  • Available for 25-100 participants per hour.
    We require a table for each station, access to water and electricity, and 15 minutes for set up/clean up.
    UV Beads or Polymers incur an additional $50 materials fee.
  • Assembly Shows

  • Available for groups of 20 to 250 participants.
    We require two 6' or 8' free standing tables and access to water and electricity. Please allow 45 minutes for set up and breakdown of program materials.
  • Family Science

  • Family Science is an informal science education program that gives children and their caregivers an opportunity to work and learn together. During Family Science events, children and caregivers work cooperatively in pairs and small groups to solve problems, and “talk science”. Explore 18 Hands-on activities that use easy-to-find, inexpensive materials, let families discover the ways in which science plays a role in daily life. With instructions available in both English and Spanish, these fun experiences build skills, confidence and excitement about science learning.
    Program requirements: 6ft/8ft tables, chairs, and direct access to water

Field Trip Logistics

    Date + Time Selection

  • September—April: Tuesday - Friday from 8:45am to 5pm
    May and June: Monday - Friday from 8:45am to 5pm
    July and August, or on a weekend: Open all week, 10am to 5pm
  • You must fill out a new request for EACH date requested.
    You will see a link to return to the form on the confirmation page.
    One submission requesting multiple dates will not be accepted.
  • Arrival and departure times are in 15 min. intervals between 8:45am and 5:00pm.
  • Transportation + Parking

  • Bus: Please note that there is no bus parking at the Connecticut Science Center. Buses are welcome to park at a lot on Market Street, and will receive driving directions from our staff. The fee is $10 per bus, and can be paid with exact cash or credit card at the automated pay station.
    Car: On-site parking is available for cars. The fee is $3 for the first hour, and $2 for each additional hour.

  • Please provide the approximate number of youth and adults that will be attending. Your headcounts may be adjusted at any time before payment is due — 30 days in advance of your trip.

  • Persons with disabilities (PWD) pay a General Admission rate of $11 per person. If an individual requires one on one assistance throughout their visit, their accompanying staff member will be admitted at no charge. Any additional persons or staff who are not one on one will receive the rate of $11 per person.

  • There is no charge but a reservation is required. If the lunch room is not available, you have the option to eat outside on the Riverfront Plaza which is directly adjacent to the Science Center (weather permitting!).

    Please note that orders are not placed nor confirmed until both the order form is completed AND payment is received.
  • Riverfront Plaza is directly adjacent to the Connecticut Science Center's Plaza. Please note that in the case of inclement weather, the Science Center does not have any other indoor lunch venues for groups.

  • Energy Through Time and Space takes you on a million-mile journey under our brand new dome! Investigate the invisible energy that holds the universe together and provides a sustainable climate for life on earth. Return to the beginning of our universe and travel a billion years into the future to discover how our sun and solar system will come to an end. This program is appropriate for grades 4–12.
  • Enrichment Programs

    • NOTE: Enrichment Programs are available only to groups arriving at prior to 9:30am.
    • Discovery Center Enrichment Programs use more sophisticated equipment and techniques than might be possible in a standard classroom.
    • These programs are difficult to schedule, especially during peak periods. Please contact Reservations to verify availability before making a selection.

    The remaining balance is due 3 weeks prior to the date of your program.
  • Full payment is required 30 days prior to your visit.

    Because groups enjoy admission fee discounts and partake in activities that are not available to the general public, Memberships (individual or corporate), discounts, and coupons are not valid.
