  • Enrichment Programs

  • Up to 25 participants per session.
    We require tables and chairs, access to water and electricity, minimum of 10 minutes between sessions, and 15 to 30 minutes for set up and cleanup.
    Discounts are available for two or more of the same program held on the same day.
  • Classroom Programs

  • Up to 25 participants per session.
    We require tables and chairs, access to water and electricity, minimum of 10 minutes between sessions, and 15 to 30 minutes for set up and cleanup.
    Discounts are available for two or more of the same program held on the same day.
  • Activity Stations

  • Available for 90 to 100 participants per hour.
    We require a table for each station, access to water and electricity, and 15 minutes for set up/clean up.
    UV Beads or Polymers incur an additional $25 materials fee.
  • Assembly Shows

  • Available for groups of 20 to 250 participants.
    We require two 6' or 8' free standing tables and access to water and electricity. Please allow 45 minutes for set up and breakdown of program materials.
  • Family Science

  • Family Science is an informal science education program that gives children and their caregivers an opportunity to work and learn together. During Family Science events, children and caregivers work cooperatively in pairs and small groups to solve problems, and “talk science”. Explore 18 Hands-on activities that use easy-to-find, inexpensive materials, let families discover the ways in which science plays a role in daily life. With instructions available in both English and Spanish, these fun experiences build skills, confidence and excitement about science learning.

Travel into space to witness the movement of tectonic plates or the arrival of a comet that will seal the fate of the Dinosaurs. The action is intense and the landscape is out of this world!
  • This documentary highlights one of nature's greatest migration spectacles, a massive annual feeding frenzy where billions of sardines travel up to KwaZulu-Natal shoreline, known to locals at the Wild Coast.     A unique program format to engage your students in physics and introduce them to Newton's Laws. Combines live demonstrations with video and other imagery projected on the theater's 30' x 40' screen.
  • Riverfront Plaza is directly adjacent to the Connecticut Science Center's Plaza. Please note that in the case of inclement weather, the Science Center does not have any other indoor lunch venues for groups.

  • Each of these programs model one 45 minute classroom period of an inquiry-based series of lessons and all use simple, inexpensive and easy to obtain materials.

  • Energy Through Time and Space takes you on a million-mile journey under our brand new dome! Investigate the invisible energy that holds the universe together and provides a sustainable climate for life on earth. Return to the beginning of our universe and travel a billion years into the future to discover how our sun and solar system will come to an end. This program is appropriate for grades 4–12.
  • Enrichment Programs

  • Discovery Center Enrichment Programs use more sophisticated equipment and techniques than might be possible in a standard classroom.
    These programs are difficult to schedule, especially during peak periods. Please contact Reservations to verify availability before making a selection.

  • A 25% deposit is required within 2 weeks of booking. (Exact amount will be included in your Booking Notice)
    The remaining balance is due 3 weeks prior to the date of your program.
