The Practice of NGSS

If you are looking to align your instructional practices to support the Next Generation Science Standards, then you should strongly consider The Practice of NGSS.

The Practice of NGSS

The Practice of NGSS balances depth and breadth, providing holistic awareness of three-dimensional learning along with strategies around specific aspects of the NGSS that teachers can take into the classroom immediately. We have developed K-2, 3-5, and 6-12 variants to focus on age-appropriate needs. The Practice of NGSS consists of a series of workshops that lead into shorter follow-up sessions that focus on revising and studying lessons to support the new standards.

Prerequisite: a foundational awareness of the NGSS is recommended
Enrollment: A science department or other group of teachers at a specific grade band (K-2, 3-5, or 6-12)

Location: Typically in your district (travel costs apply)
Format: Immersive science learning experiences paired with pedagogical analysis
Facilitation: Connecticut Science Center Professional Development Specialists
Cost: Competitively priced based on group size and travel costs
